October is Sexual Violence Awareness Month
This year our annual Gold Coast Start by Believing Community Breakfast will launch the theme Your Voice Matters.
Our keynote speaker this year is the amazing Dr Donna Lyon. Donna is the Founder and CEO of the charity Left Write Hook, which runs expressive writing and trauma informed boxing for survivors of complex trauma. The charity emerged from a grassroots project Donna led, which then turned into a participatory arts research project and industry funded documentary feature film, which she is a producer of. Donna is co-editor of the book Left/ Write// Hook: Survivor Stories from a Creative Arts Boxing and Writing Project.
